What a marathon that was, but totally worth it! (The first egg wash took my youngest 40mins with a fine brush…) Here they are, all 22 of them in their golden glory! Pastry isn’t exactly my forte, but this lot turned out pretty well!

It’s so important to keep these cultural aspects alive at home, for it’s all part of my children’s heritage. If I don’t make a big deal of it, it’d simply be another ordinary day in this western world I live in. The legends and facts about the moon/mid-autumn festival can easily be found on Google, but what you won’t find there is the memories I made with my family in my Taiwanese childhood days, and the new ones I now make with my children in UK.
Happy mid-autumn festival for tomorrow!!
